A trio of ’80s radio legends have signed up for this summer’s Rewind Festival.
Pat Sharp, Gary Davies and Bruno Brooks will headline the Scone Palace’s show’s new Club Tropicana tent.
The colourful venue will be a new addition to the ever-popular nostalgia festival, which is celebrating its 10th year in Perthshire.
Club Tropicana – where the drinks won’t be free, sadly – will be under a big top-style tent and will host live performances and special guests throughout the three-day event.
This year’s show will feature headline sets from Jimmy Somerville and Wet Wet Wet, as well as performances from Billy Ocean, Bananarama, Hue and Cry, Grandmaster Flash and The Christians, to name but a few.
Pat Sharp, who will play at the club on the first night as campers arrive, was a DJ at Radio One and hosted Top Of The Pops. He is maybe best known as the host of children’s game show Fun House.
Gary Davies became a household name when he took over Radio One’s lunchtime show in 1984. He returned to BBC radio after a 23 year absence in 2017 to host a two-and-a-half hour edition of Sounds of the 80s.
Bruno Brooks also came to prominence on BBC Radio One in the 1980s. He also hosted popular daytime quiz show Beat The Teacher.
Rewind gets under way at Scone on July 17.
