Traffic was heavy on one of Tayside’s busiest roads following a two-vehicle accident on Tuesday morning.
The crash involving a Ford Transit van and a Vauxhall Corsa took place on the eastbound A90 Dundee to Perth road at about 9.45am at Lonsdale, near Invergowrie.
Traffic was queued back to Longforgan after one lane was left blocked.
Nobody is said to have been injured in the crash.
Bear Scotland were called to the scene to deal with an oil spillage.
Earlier a police spokesman said: “It was a two-vehicle RTC (road traffic collision). One lane is blocked more down to an oil spillage. Bear Scotland is dealing with it.
“There is no reference to any injuries.”
A Traffic Scotland statement reads: “The A90 (northbound) just before the swallow roundabout approaching Dundee is currently restricted due to a road traffic accident. Motorists are advised to approach with caution.”
