Police are hunting two thieves who hid in a doorway before breaking into a Perth city centre shop.
The newsagents on South Street was targeted by the men on Tuesday at about 4am.
They stole alcohol and tobacco from the store after forcing their way in using the front door.
The pair were captured on CCTV hiding in a doorway on King Edward Street prior to the break-in.
A Tayside Police Division statement reads: “Police Scotland is appealing for information about a break-in and theft from a newsagent in South Street, Perth, which happened about 4am on Tuesday, March 3.
“The shop was broken into by two men wearing all-dark clothing, who were seen on CCTV to hide in a doorway in King Edward Street, before breaking into the shop on South Street through the front door.
“Quantities of alcohol and tobacco were stolen from the shop.
“If you have any information that could assist our investigation, please call 101 or speak with police officer.
“Also, information can be given anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. Our reference is incident 0356 of March 3.”
