Officers are warning members of the public to stay away from a prisoner missing from Castle Huntly.
Andrew Weir, 32, breached the conditions of his home leave and Police Scotland are appealing for information regarding his whereabouts.
He is described as being 5ft 7in, medium build with short dark hair.
When he was last seen he was wearing a grey tracksuit top and bottoms and grey trainers.
He was also carrying a black holdall.
It is believed that he has connections in the Bathgate and wider West Lothian area.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “If seen, members of the public should not approach him but contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 0933 of Friday, 6 March, 2020, or call the charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
Weir is the second prisoner to go missing from Castle Huntly in the last few days after Ryan Stewart, 34 was reported missing on Tuesday March 3 after failing to return from home leave, before being arrested in the Perth area yesterday.
