A Perth businessman has said delivery drivers aren’t doing enough to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
Freddy Findlay, who owns the Shanghai fish and chip shop, said he had seen employees of other firms going to addresses without personal protective equipment.
Mr Findlay said staff at his Hospital Street shop are using safety measures while making deliveries, and even cooking.
He said: “Our drivers have been using masks and gloves and using contactless payment. At the door they knock and then step back.
“We’ve had feedback from our customers that other companies have no safety measures in place and that’s putting the customers at risk.
“With all the restaurants that have started doing delivery since they were shut down, I think the government needs to be more strict on safety measures. Currently there’s nothing in place for the protection of customers.”
