A paedophile who carried out sex acts outside a Tayside primary school and sexually abused a child has been jailed for two years and nine months.
Adalbert Bredau was also placed on the sex offenders register after a jury heard he paid a young girl after forcing her to touch him.
The girl told a trial at Perth Sheriff Court she did not want the money as Bredau exposed himself to her.
She said she wanted to give the money to a homeless person.
The abuse came to light after a passerby spotted Bredau in his car performing a sex act as he overlooked Balhousie Primary School in Perth.
He was reported to police and claimed he had been taking a picture of himself to send to someone he had met online.
However, it emerged that he had been sexually assaulting the girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, since she was “six or seven”.
She said she gave in to his demands on a single occasion and Bredau “paid” her £10.
She said: “He was crazy, he was weird. I felt uncomfortable because I know about rape and being molested and things like that.
“All he would do was come in front of me naked and ask this damn question and that was it. I touched it once.
“All I wanted him to do was to leave me alone. I literally just touched it and that was it. He gave me £10.
“I said I would give it to a homeless man or something because I didn’t want it. Kids are excited to get money but I was not excited to see him again.”
She told police she thought Bredau believed he could pay her to touch him but she said she felt like she wanted to “stab” him with a knife.
Bredau, 48, of Perth, was found guilty of sexually assaulting the girl on various occasions in the city between January 1 2015 and September 21 last year.
He was also found guilty of carrying out sexual acts in front of the girl between December 8 2017 and September 21 2019.
They convicted him for exposing himself in a car on September 12 and 13 2019 and carrying out a sex act near Balhousie Primary School on October 4.
