A Perthshire mum is hoping to bring a smile to the face of local children by pounding the streets while wearing a giant inflatable dinosaur suit.
Yasmin Elder plans to use her daily exercise allowance to visit houses throughout Stanley.
Maintaining strict social distancing rules, the mum of three will entertain the kids through the windows of their homes.
The 28-year-old said she was keen to do something to boost morale in her community.
Yasmin, who works as a RugbyTots coach, said she originally bought the £27 T-Rex suit to wear at a friend’s daughter’s birthday party on April 5.
“I then thought I could wear it on my daily exercise,” she said.
“I really, really want to keep the kids’ spirits up. I’m going to go to their windows and hopefully make them giggle.
“I’m also doing it because I miss all the tots from my RugbyTots class and I know they will all be missing each other. From all of the coaches, we hope all our tots are doing well and keeping safe, but most importantly still smiling.
“I am going to feel a bit daft running around in a dinosaur suit but it’s going to be worth it.
“It was to be a one off but if there’s a lot of interest I may do it once a week.”
