A pedestrian has died after being hit by a car on a Perthshire road.
The collision happened on the A94, just north of Balbeggie, on Sunday evening.
The road was closed off for several hours.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Road policing officers in Perth and Kinross were called to the A94, just north of Balbeggie, at around 9.10pm on Sunday, following a crash which involved a male pedestrian and a Volkswagen Tiguan.
“The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene and the road was closed for eight hours to allow for a crash investigation to take place.”
He said: “Enquiries remain ongoing and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.”
Details of the victim have yet to be released.
