A ward at a Perthshire hospital has been closed following an outbreak of coronavirus.
The general practice unit at Pitlochry Community Hospital has been closed to new admissions due to Covid-19, NHS Tayside announced on Friday
A spokesperson for the health authority said: “The ward has been closed to new patients as a precautionary measure and all appropriate infection prevention and control measures have been put in place.”
The ward is the third in the Perthshire area to close within a week after Tay ward at Perth Royal Infirmary and Tummel ward at Murray Royal Hospital were also shut following coronavirus cases.
