Proposals for a walking and cycling route from Bridge of Earn to Newburgh have been put forward, after the death on the road of a popular Perth teacher.
The Perth and Kinross Countryside Trust (PKCT) has launched the first phase of the consultation for the section of the route between Bridge of Earn and Aberargie.
Teacher and rugby star, Adam Pattinson died following a crash on the A912 on the Perth and Kinross/ Fife border as he cycled to work.
The survey is accompanied by a number of design drawings of the proposed route on the PKCT website.
Communities Officer at PKCT, Bid Strachan urged members of the public to consider the proposals and put forward their views on the route.
However, concerns have been raised about the timing of these proposals, with some believing they have been introduced “too late” for people who have already been killed or injured on the route.
In response, the PKCT said it wishes to make the route “as safe as possible”.
A spokesperson for the organisation said: “We are wholeheartedly saddened by the incident earlier this year and the one several years ago and hope to make travel for all users of the Baiglie Straight as safe as possible.”
The consultation survey is accessible through the PKCT website and is live until May 4.
