Armed police were called to an incident in a Perthshire village on Monday evening with witnesses describing a large number of emergency response units present on a Scone street.
Around ten police vehicles, including numerous armed officers, and an ambulance raced to the scene in the Birch Avenue area of Scone at around 8.30pm.
Police Scotland confirmed armed officers had been called to the scene.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Around 8:30pm on Monday April 20 police received a concern for person call in Birch Row, Perth.
“Officers attended and a woman was assessed and treated by paramedics at the scene.
“There is no further police action.”
One witness told The Courier: “The armed police were there with the full gear on.
“They had the helmets on and everything.
“Someone was taken over to the ambulance.”
The witness said it was unclear what the cause of the heavy police presence was but officers had started to disperse around 9.30pm.
