Fire fighters raced to Perth city centre this evening to tackle chip pan fire in a takeaway.
The fire service sent two appliances to the scene at Munch Crunch, South Street, after getting a call at 7.17pm.
The flames were contained within the shop and the damage was said to be minimal.
The fire crew quickly beat the blaze and left the scene at around 8.23pm.
A nearby resident, who asked not to be named, said: “My father was told to stay inside unless the smoke alarms inside went off or it became too smokey.
“The fire men on the scene said that it was a fryer that had caught on fire.”
