A chicken attempting to cross the road in Perth city centre on Saturday has been rescued and taken to an animal re-homing centre in Angus.
The bird, which had been spotted running around the city centre in the early afternoon, was collected by police officers near Kinnoull Street and taken to the Barrack Street station.
A Scottish SPCA inspector soon arrived to safely collect the chicken.
The inspector took the bird to the organisation’s animal rescue and re-homing centre at Petterden, where it is just now.
