A school uniform bank has been set up in a Perthshire town to support families who are struggling with the cost of kitting out pupils for their return to the classroom.
The Crieff scheme has been launched by Elizabeth Philip, a family worker at Crieff Parish Church, and Caroline Murphy of the Logos Youth Project.
Two wheelie bins have been placed in the town to collect items of unwanted or outgrown clothing. Donations can also be left at the foodbank box in the Co op.
Organisers say they also want to reduce waste, as well as helping hard-up families.
People can access low-cost uniforms by sending a message to the Crieff School Uniform Bank Facebook page.
Ms Philip said: “We wanted to make sure that all young people had access to uniform as and when they needed it at a low cost.
“As mums we also knew that kids either wear through their clothes or grow out them too fast.”
