A police investigation is under way after a teenager was found injured in a Perthshire village.
The 17-year-old was discovered in Mill Street, Stanley, at around midnight on Thursday.
He was taken to hospital in Dundee where doctors described his condition as stable.
Residents said police have been stationed outside a property in the street for several hours.
A force spokesman said: “We received a report of a man found injured on Mill Street, Stanley, around 12am on Thursday.
“The 17-year-old was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee where his condition is described as stable. Enquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing.”
