A man has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries following a major rescue operation at Pitlochry Golf Course.
Emergency services rushed to the Highland Perthshire venue shortly after 8am following reports of person becoming trapped by machinery.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) had six appliances on the scene equipped with winch lines, cutting gear and a rescue board.
The Scottish Ambulance Service also sent a number of paramedics, including their trauma team and air ambulance helicopter.
A spokesperson for SAS said: “We received a call today at 8.08am to attend an incident in Pitlochry.
“We dispatched one ambulance, an air ambulance, our trauma team and special operations team to the scene. ”
“We airlifted one male patient to Ninewells.”
The Courier understands that the man’s injuries are believed to be serious.
An SFRS spokesperson said: “We have six appliances in attendance in total.
“We arrived on scene around 8.46am. The call was to the golf course. The person was trapped by machinery.”
