A man was due in court today after three police vehicles attended an alleged “disturbance” in Alyth.
Witnesses reported seeing officers from two police cars in discussions with a male in Airlie Street, close to the junction with Isla Road, on Friday at around 6.40pm. Soon afterwards a police arrived.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report of a man in possession of an offensive weapon causing a disturbance on Airlie Street, Alyth, around 6.20pm on Friday, 26 June, 2020.
“A 34-year-old man was arrested and charged. He was due to appear at court today (Monday 29 June).”
