A motorist was caught driving at 117mph on one of Perthshire’s busiest road in an unroadworthy vehicle.
The 31-year-old was found to have a defective tyre when he was stopped on the M90 on Saturday.
The man has been charged in relation to the incident.
It came shortly after a biker was caught riding a motorbike at over 100mph on the same evening.
The 50-year-old was stopped near Bridge of Earn and has since been charged with dangerous driving.
The arrests were part of a campaign by Police Scotland’s local Road Policing Unit continues to target dangerous and inconsiderate driving in and around the county.
Over the last week there have been 10 instances of drivers with no insurance being detected.
And on Sunday August 23, following reports of a car being driven erratically on the A9 near Pitlochry, a 30 year old male was found to be in excess of three times the drink drive limit.
