Two-hundred coronavirus cases have now been linked to the 2 Sisters chicken factory outbreak in Coupar Angus as staff begin to return to the plant.
A single new case was confirmed at the crisis-hit factory following the reopening on Monday, bringing the number of positive Covid-19 tests to 174 factory workers and 26 community contacts.
The 14-day isolation period ended on Sunday evening meaning staff have began to return to the factory.
However workers and their households who have been contacted by the tracing team may have to follow specific advice keeping them in quarantine.
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE), Food Standards Scotland (FSS) and Environmental Health (EH) teams continue to work with the factory management following the outbreak.
The Incident Management Team (ICM) dealing with the cluster also expect to announce when indoor care home visits can return later this week.
NHS Tayside announced on August 23 that they would be cancelling the return of indoor care home visits across Tayside due to the large-scale cluster in the area.
This postponement will continue until at least Friday.
Perth and Kinross Council say they will continue to support those factory workers still in isolation.
A spokesperson for the local authority said: “(The) council will continue to help 2 Sisters workers affected by the coronavirus outbreak this week.
“Support including food parcels is available for staff who need assistance during their return to work and for those who are continuing to self-isolate.
“Anyone who works for 2 Sisters and needs urgent support should call 0345 30 111 00. Translation services are available.”
