A Perthshire project that works with local disadvantaged young people has secured a £30,000 boost.
The Birks Cinema Trust in Aberfeldy was awarded the three-year grant from BBC Children in Need funds.
The funding will allow the organisation to deliver day trips and weekly creative workshops for youngsters with additional needs.
It aims to help attendees develop confidence and self-esteem, while encouraging them to socialise in a supportive environment.
Community Development Coordinator at The Birks Cinema Trust, Fiona MacEwan said: “We’re delighted that we have been awarded with this funding which will enable us to provide a supportive and engaging project for the young people that we work with.”
The new funding was made possible by the Children in Need 2019 appeal in November.
Children in Need has since collaborated with Comic Relief to launch numerous funding programmes to support charities and projects during the pandemic across the UK.
