Four youths have been reported following a number of incidents in Aberfeldy where stones were thrown at moving cars.
The youngsters, aged between 11 and 13, were reported to the Youth Justice Assessor after rocks were thrown at cars driving on the A827 near the caravan park in the Perthshire town.
Police Scotland warned the youngsters that their actions could have resulted in tragedy.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Throwing stones at vehicles driving on roads could be potentially catastrophic and is extremely reckless and dangerous.
“It is only through extreme good fortune that none of these incidents resulted in a tragedy.
“This has been fully explained to the four boys involved.”
The boys involved were aged 11, 12, 12 and 13.
