A Perthshire mother and daughter who had not been seen since Friday have been found.
Emma Malloy and her daughter Leah (6) were last seen in Crieff and were reported as missing on Monday.
Police issued an urgent appeal but her husband, Richard Malloy, told The Courier shortly after 11am they had been found in Edinburgh.
He said: “We’ve now located her. She’s somewhere in Edinburgh at the moment.
“She left on Friday and our concerns increased as time wore on.
“That’s us just had it confirmed that she made contact.
“As far as we know she’s fine. We just want to get her back home again.
“It’s just a case of taking it one step at a time to see where it goes.
“We just have to wait. We are happy at least that contact has been made.”
A police spokesman said: “Police Scotland can confirm that Emma Malloy and her daughter Leah have both been found safe and well.
“Media and the public are thanked for their assistance.”
