Detectives are investigating the sudden death of a woman at a property in Perth.
Police were called to a block of flats on Dunkeld Road on Thursday night.
A force spokeswoman said the death was being treated as unexplained and inquiries were at an early stage.
She said: “Police Scotland are investigating the death of a woman in Perth.
“Police attended at a property in Dunkeld Road at around 9pm.”
The spokeswoman added: “The death is being treated as unexplained, and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
The dead woman has been named locally as Louise O’Brien who is believed to have stayed in a first floor flat.
The 36-year-old was described by shocked neighbours as “full of fun” and great company.
One resident said: “I don’t know what’s happened, but it looks serious.
“There’s police at the front door, police at the back and one officer standing outside her door.”
He said: “Louise was always a good laugh and I’d meet up with her for a drink now and again.
“I’m not sure if she was working, but she used to be a barmaid.
“It’s just such a shame. Everyone is in complete shock.”
