Another person has died after testing positive for coronavirus in Tayside.
The fatality, recorded in the Perth and Kinross area, is one of seven linked to Covid-19 registered in the past day.
However the person is believed to have died on Saturday, October 10.
It is the first coronavirus death recorded in the Perth and Kinross area since August 28.
It comes after a total of 1,297 people tested positive for the disease in the past day, 95 of them across Tayside and Fife.
Of this number: 42 were in the kingdom, 32 in Dundee, 14 in Angus, and seven across Perth and Kinross.
The number of people who have died after testing positive for the virus in Scotland has now risen to 2,557.
However, 4,276 fatalities have been registered in Scotland where Covid-19 was mentioned on the death certificate.
A total of 41,256 people have now tested positive for Covid-19 in Scotland, up from 39,959 on Monday.
There are currently 527 people in hospital battling the virus, up 40 in 24 hours. Of this number, 35 are in intensive care.
