Stagecoach’s Sir Brian Souter told Perth Academy pupils of his journey “from truant schoolboy to leading entrepreneur” at a team building and enterprise event held at the school.
Over the month of May, S4 students who do not require study leave are participating in a programme which focuses on the development of personal and social employability skills.
The programme aims to develop students’ team working and enterprise skills and offers a variety of activities and experiences within and beyond the school setting.
The four week programme culminates in students selling their products and services to members of the public in a mini market on Monday and Tuesday May 30 and 31 in Perth city centre.
Students will also pitch their business ideas in a “Dragon’s Den” style to employers.
