A train spotter was injured after falling from a bridge in Perth and landing on a railway embankment.
It is understood the man may have been trying to photograph the Royal Scotsman train when he fell 20ft.
The accident happened at around 3pm at the bridge leading off Glasgow Road towards Perth Railway Station.
Fire services, police officers and an ambulance attended at the bridge which lies between James Barclay furnishings and Perth Leisure Pool with the railway line in between.
Firefighters gained access to the railway embankment before the man was removed on a stretcher.
He had landed on section adjacent to the main line and the incident caused no major disruptions to the rail service.
A spokesman for British Transport Police said: “We were called after a man, aged 36, had fallen from a bridge on to the railway.
“He was taken to hospital in an ambulance after suffering injuries to his back and ankle.”
