Andy Murray is set to net a near a £1m payday after selling his luxury US bachelor flat.
The British number one bought the glass-fronted four bedroom condominium eight years ago for just over £1m.
And now he has a buyer for the 45th floor apartment with spectacular views over Biscayne Bay and Miami’s glittering nightlife.
The flat where he does his winter training at the University of Miami’s facilities has been on sale for over £2m.
And Variety’s Real Estalker Mark David revealed the flat is under contract: “Tennis pro Andy Murray sheds downtown Miami condominium – online listings indicate a sale is pending.”
The property expert added: “Property records we peeped show Mister Murray purchased the high-floor aerie in July 2008 for $1.575m – £1.09m.
“His pied-à-terre condo at the Jade Residences in downtown Miami [is] listed at $2.99 million – £2.06m.”
The flat has four bedrooms and four-and-a-half bathrooms covering 3,415 square feet with wrap-around views, plus three terraces for enjoying the view.
It is reached by a private elevator with its own foyer. Off from the entrance is a dual use living and dining room, partially floored in marble, with floor-to-ceiling windows.
Murray, 28, whose wife Kim recently gave birth to a daughter Sophia, has removed most of the personal mementoes he kept there except for a red topped pool table and a bright orange egg shaped chair.
There is a black-and-white picture of a horse hanging in the master bedroom over the bed. It has two walk-in closets and a jacuzzi-style bath, with separate shower.
All the bedrooms, which have their own spectacular views, are en suite. One has the novel arrangement of a toilet overlooking a large floor-to-ceiling window.
The 48-story Jade Residences has round-the-clock concierge and valet services, an on-site garage — with two parking spaces reserved for Murray.
There is also a roof-top sky lounge, a complete fitness center and spa, and two infinity edged swimming pools.
The world number two has some sporting company – Argentine ace Juan Martín del Potro, who beat Roger Federer to win the U.S. Open in 2009, also lives in the block.
