A first year Perth High School pupil has tested positive for Covid-19.
The youngster, who is in class P10/PC, tested positive in the last few days with all close contacts now forced to self-isolate for 14 days.
The school says the last date of contact with others was on Friday October 30 meaning a return would not be until November 12.
Officials say work will be provided for all young people who are asked to self-isolate.
The school will remain open.
An email sent out to parents and carers said: “You will already have been notified if your child is a close contact.
“This letter is for the wider school community to keep you informed.
“I understand that this information may be of concern to you.
“Please be assured that this isolation is precautionary. Perth High School remains open to the rest of our pupils and staff.”
