Loch Tummel Sailing Club is taking part in the RYA Scotland’s Push the Boat Out this month, a scheme to give people who have never been in a boat the chance to try sailing.
This takes place on three Saturdays, May 14, 21 and 28, there will be various boats and activities to try. The sailing will be supervised by qualified instructors and will have safety boat cover at all times.
All safety equipment will be provided, all people will need is a towel and a change of clothing and be prepared to possibly get a bit wet.
“At the club we have sailors of all ages and abilities from pre-school to octogenarians, members who compete throughout the country and abroad at various competitive levels,” said a spokesman.
“The club runs racing every Sunday from April till October and runs Tummel Week, a family sailing week, in July and several regattas for visiting sailors.
“It is not all about racing though and members can use the club all week and there are many who just want to go messing about in boats.”
