The annual celebration of Gaelic arts and culture, the Perthshire and Angus Provincial Mod, will begin on Friday.
Better known as the Aberfeldy Mod, participants of all ages from across Scotland and beyond will visit Breadalbane Community Campus to compete.
Local schools from throughout the region have been preparing children for traditional competitions in solo singing, drama, choirs and storytelling, while there are also competitions for poster design, best radio or video programme.
Children can enter instrumental competitions, playing their own choice of a Gaelic melody on piano, brass, woodwind or even on recorders.
The children’s competition section will be held this Friday and the adult competitions on Saturday.
The adult piping, fiddle, oral and solo singing competitions will be held on Saturday morning, with duets, quartets and choral competitions to be held in the afternoon in the large auditorium, which seats 350 people.
Mod Convenor Mary Stewart said: “The Aberfeldy Mod, which is organised by the Perthshire and Angus Provincial Mod Committee under the auspices of the Royal National Mod, is a fantastic opportunity for people who enjoy taking part in Gaelic events to come together.
“It is a real chance to celebrate the rich Gaelic heritage of our area and to share the experience with a wide age group of people.
“Our thanks must go to those who have, over the years, worked hard to keep our Mod alive and have made it the success it is today.”
A ceilidh dance will start in Aberfeldy Town Hall immediately after the choral competitions on Saturday, which are expected to finish around 5pm.
Some fringe activities have also been organised for Sunday June 14 to extend the Gaelic cultural experience in the town.
The Gaelic Songs of Praise, which was well supported last year, will once again be held in Weem Parish Church at 2pm.
The Rev Matthew Roberson will conduct the service and some familiar hymns will be sung in English to well-known Gaelic melodies, with Aberfeldy Gaelic Choir on hand to lend their voices to proceedings.
English words will be given, when necessary, so anyone can go along and join in the singing.
The Silent Storm, set on a remote Scottish island before World War II and starring Damien Lewis and Andrea Riseborough, will be shown in the Birks Cinema at 5.15pm.
