A crash involving a lorry and a car shutdown partĀ of the A9 in Highland Perthshire for more than an hour and caused major traffic disruption.
A section of the trunk road, south of Dalwhinnie, wasĀ closed for about an hour on Wednesday afternoon, with long queues of vehicles at either side.
The accident happened just before 3pm between Wade Bridge and Dalnacardoch Lodge.
Both drivers were hurt in the collision, although their injuries are not thought to be life threatening. Both men were taken by ambulance toĀ Raigmore Hospital for treatment.
Traffic Scotland reported that the lorry had overturned. Fire crews from Aviemore, Kingussie and Newtonmore are in attendance.

Drivers on social media reported long tailbacks for both north and south-bound vehicles.

OneĀ lane was re-opened by 4.30pm althoughĀ motorists were still warned to expect heavy traffic on the southbound carriageway. The route was clear by 5pm.
