Developers behind a £1billion housing expansion at Perth have revealed more details about how the project will take shape.
New images show how retail outlets could be created on the edge of the Bertha Park site, planned for the north-western edge of the Fair City.
The first phase of the 3,000-home project won planning permission this week.
Innes Smith, managing director of developer Springfield said work on the central section, featuring 1,061 homes, will begin next year with the first home owners expected to move in by mid-2018.
Mr Smith said: “Not surprisingly the city is one of the fastest growing places in Scotland. We are committed to enabling that expansion with homes, businesses and leisure opportunities over the next 30 years. Already, we have spent five years developing this plan.”
