A drunk motorist crashed his car before running off, leaving a passenger in the vehicle.
James Hughes’ car left the Madderty to Tibbermore road on Saturday evening, Perth Sheriff Court heard.
Depute fiscal Rebecca Kynaston told the court that a passerby reported the crash to police. A passenger, who was still in the car, told them Hughes was the driver. He was traced an hour later and found to be more than four times the legal drink-drive limit.
Hughes, 40, of Double Dykes caravan park, Perth, admitted having 91 mics of alcohol in his system on June 11. The legal limit is 22.
Sheriff Donald Ferguson deferred sentence for reports.
