Police are hunting an armed robber who held up staff at a Perth convenience store.
The raider walked into Costcutter in the city’s Bridgend area on Sunday night.
It is understood he threatened a male staff member with a knife and demanded cash before making off with a three-figure sum of money.
The suspect is described as being 5ft 11in and was wearing a navy blue tracksuit and a hooded top. He had the hood pulled up tight during the robbery.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said the raid happened at 9.30pm. “Investigations are continuing in the area, with officers carrying out door-to-door enquiries,” she said. “A review of CCTV footage is underway.”
Officers are particularly keen to speak to anyone who was on Perth Bridge after 9pm or anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident. Witnesses are urged to call police on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
