The first clip from the eagerly-awaited movie sequel to Trainspotting has been released online.
The film reunites the star’s of Danny Boyle’s 1996 movie: Ewan McGregor, Jonny Lee Miller, Robert Carlyle and Ewen Bremner.
The brief clip shows a ScotRail train passing before the familiar refrain of Iggy Pop’s Lust of Life plays.
The train clears to reveal the four main characters – Sick Boy, Renton, Spud and Begbie – standing on a train platform, presumably at Rannoch in Highland Perthshire.
Principal shooting on Trainspotting 2 finished last week.
The movie is scheduled for release in January 2017.
The film is set 20 years after the first movie and is loosely based on Irvine Welsh’s sequel, Porno.
