Protesters are battling to block a huge housing development earmarked for the edge of Perthshire’s biggest village.
A demonstration was staged on Wednesday to show local opposition to proposals for 700 new homes at Scone.
Objectors say the plan will lead to major traffic and pollution problems.
More 1,000 people have already voted in a poll to gauge local opinion for the development. The results won’t be known until next month, but residents say there are very few people in favour of the homes.
Councillor Lewis Simpson it was important that the community had its voice heard.
Meanwhile, two teenagers were yesterday thanked for uncovering evidence of a heavily-protected pine marten at the earmarked site. The discovery could have severe implications for future developments.
