Fife-born Hollywood actor Dougray Scott made a visit to Perth Prison to talk to inmates who suffer from drug and alcohol addictions.
The film star, who hails from Glenrothes, took time out to speak to prisoners at an on-site recovery café.
It’s understood Scott spoke of his own life experiences to the prisoners and posed for photographs with some of them.
A spokesman for the Scottish Prison Service (SPS) said: “Dougray Scott visited HMP Perth this week to attend a recovery café meeting and to tour the prison.
“We were delighted that Dougray Scott took time out of his busy schedule to come and speak to those in our care at HMP Perth. The feedback from this visit has been really positive.”
The recovery café supports prisoners through all types of drug and alcohol addiction.
Scott, 50, has starred in an array of films including Mission Impossible, Enigma and Taken 3, as well as appearing in TV serial Desperate Housewives.
