A person has died in a crash on a rural road near Perth Racecourse.
The collision between a van and a motorbike took place on the A93 Perth to Blairgowrie road, at Old Scone.
Police refused to confirm the sex or age of the deceased, other than clarify that someone had died as a result of a “serious” road accident.
A local resident, who wished to remain anonymous, said the fatal accident happened at a sharp bend.
