A motorcyclist has died and another has been seriously hurt in a crash on a Highland Perthshire road.
The accident, on the A85 St Fillans to Lochearnhead route, happened just after 12pm on Sunday.
One biker has died at the scene, while the other was taken by air ambulance to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.
The road has been closed for several hours and motorists are being advised to take a 45-minute detour to avoid the area.
It is the second biker to die on the route this summer.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Road Policing Officers responded to a serious road collision on the A85 at around midday on Sunday.
“The incident involving two motorcycles occurred on the road between St Fillans and Lochearnhead and resulted in the road being closed while emergency services were in attendance.”
He added: “One male rider was taken by helicopter to Ninewells Hospital, while the other male rider was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Inquiries into the full circumstances surrounding this collision are ongoing.”
Community councillors said there is a lot of concern about the route locally, with many calling for the speed limit to be reduced.
