Motorists were warned to expect delays following an accident on the A90 near St Madoes.
The Perth to Dundee carriageway was completely blocked for a time after a caravan was reported to have overturned.
A police spokesperson said: “Police Scotland is in attendance on the A90 near Glendoick, Glencarse, following a report of an overturned caravan on the eastbound carriageway that happened at about 12.40pm this afternoon.
“Drivers should expect delays and approach with care.”
They added that there were no apparent injuries arising from the incident.
One lane of the carriageway was quickly reopened to allow traffic to pass the accident scene.
