Restaurant owners are today counting the cost of the devastating blaze that tore through their business in Perth.
Fire broke out in the roof-space of Café Aladdin’s in the city’s West Mains Avenue on Wednesday evening.
Scottish Fire and Rescue despatched units from the city and Auchterarder to tackle the fire, which began shortly after 11.30pm.
They battled for around two hours to extinguish the flames, which left the roof a charred ruin and the restaurant hardly less badly damaged.
Firefighters in breathing apparatus entered the building to check for hotspots after the flames were doused, with the take-away heavily smoke-logged.
Police Scotland said the fire was not being treated as suspicious.
