Four people have been arrested in Perth after a driver allegedly failed to stop for police 23 miles away in Dundee.
The motorist allegedly made off from the Fintry area of Dundee and was later found in Perth city centre.
Onlookers watched as several police units descended on South Street and detained four people in total at lunchtime on Wednesday.
One eyewitness in Perth said: “I was minding my own business when a police car went racing up the wrong way on South Street, so I came out to see what was going on.
‘Like something out of a movie’
“There were as many as four police vehicles. It looked like something out a movie.”
Another bystander said that he saw officers running down nearby alleyways, while police vehicles partially blocked the street.
A man was later seen being led away in handcuffs from a takeaway.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers responded after a vehicle failed to stop on Findale Street, Dundee at around 11.25am on Wednesday.
“The driver was later traced at an address on South Street, Perth and was charged in connection with road traffic offences.
“Two men and one woman were also arrested in connection with other incidents.”
