Police in England are searching for a missing 14-year-old boy with links to Perth.
Officers in Dorset have been speaking to colleagues north of the border as they look for young Iwan Thomas.
The teen was last seen by his family at his home in Sherborne on Thursday at around 7.40pm.
A number of local sightings were made yesterday but he has since disappeared.
Inspector Richard Dixey of Dorset Police said: “Iwan has been missing for a second day now and we are very concerned for his welfare.
“We believe that Iwan has some money on him and he may have used this to travel around.
“There are a number of searches going on in the Sherborne area and we are making many other enquiries to establish where Iwan may have gone.
“His family had recently moved to Dorset from Perth in Scotland and we have been in contact with the police there.”
Iwan is described as white, five foot ten inches in height and of slim build, with light ginger spiked hair.
One of the sightings confirmed that he is wearing The Gryphon School uniform – a white polo shirt, black trousers, a navy blue jumper and black shoes – and carrying a blue rucksack.
Anyone with information about Iwan’s whereabouts is asked to call police on 101.
