The two year-old girl who died following Thursday’s tragic accident in Coupar Angus has been named as Harlow Edwards.
It is understood the tot’s six year-old brother and 17 year-old sister remain in Ninewells Hospital.
They are being treated for serious injuries.
The family are local to Coupar Angus.
“Police Scotland can confirm that a child who suffered fatal injuries following a road traffic collision on the A94 Forfar Road, Coupar Angus yesterday afternoon has been formally identified,” a police spokesman said.
“She has been named as two year-old Harlow Edwards from Coupar Angus, Perthshire.
“Inquiries into the full set of circumstances of the incident are on-going and Tayside Division would appeal to anyone who may have information that could assist officers with their inquiries to contact 101, or speak to any officer.”
As with all sudden deaths a report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
On Friday, floral tributes were laid at the scene of the fatal accident.
Second tragedy claims life of 31 year-old
Meanwhile, two children remain in hospital following an unrelated fatal accident on the A9 on Thursday evening.
The accident, near Luncarty, claimed the life of a 31 year-old woman.
