The woman killed in a head-on smash on the A9 at Luncarty on Thursday has been named as 31-year-old Kimberly Robertson from Rosyth in Fife.
Ms Robertson was the front seat passenger in a car when it was involved in a collision with a van north of Perth.
Two children – a seven-year-old girl and five-year-old boy – were taken to hospital following the accident with “serious” injuries.
The five-year-old has since been released, but the seven-year-old remains in hospital, though her condition is not thought to have worsened.
The 70-year-old driver of the van was initially said to have been taken to hospital as “a precaution” but it’s understood his condition has since deteriorated and it is now described as “serious”.
The 36-year-old driver of the Honda Civic escaped with minor injuries.
Police Scotland said an investigation into the cause of the accident that claimed Ms Robertson’s life is still ongoing.
She died at the scene despite the best efforts of medical professionals.
Anyone with information that could assist officers with their inquiries is asked to call 101.
As with all sudden deaths a report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
