An appeal to find a missing old English sheepdog has captured the hearts of thousands of animal lovers.
Daisy went missing near Luncarty in Perthshire on Sunday and, despite intense efforts, has not been seen since.
A post on the Missing Pets, Perth and Kinross Scotland Facebook page explains: “Darling Daisy went missing at around 4pm (on 23/10/16) while out in Luncarty, Perthshire.
“She was in a field which is near to the railway, A9 and River Tay when she caught sight of a deer and took off. She was last sighted running towards Inveralmond/North Muirton but could be anywhere.”
The post has been shared over 3,000 times by people desperate to see the seven-year-old dog home safely.
The post continued: “Daisy is an old English Sheep dog. She is 7 years old, is chipped and was wearing a collar with her owners’ contact information.
“She is a very friendly girl and her whole family are very upset that she is still missing. Please can we have a big push of shares for Daisy and help her to be reunited with her family! Xx”
