The family of a Tayside man killed in a crash near Edinburgh at the weekend have paid tribute to him.
Ewen Chisholm was pronounced dead at the scene following in the incident on Saturday.
The 47-year-old and a 14-year-old passenger were travelling in a Citroen Berlingo on the A6094 when the crash happened at Howgate, 12 miles south of the capital, at 3.40pm.
The teenager was taken by ambulance to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary as a precaution but was physically unhurt.
Ewen’s older brother Jamie said the family had been overwhelmed with support.
He said: “We as a family are in a huge state of shock and still re-grouping from far and wide.
“Ewen is a huge character, who only cared about others, leaving us all and hundreds of friends with a big loss.
“The support and messages have been overwhelming and give us all great strength.
“Support and protection of his immediate family are now our priority, so we kindly ask for everyone’s help with this.”
