A 38-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a huge haul of class A drugs found at a property in the city’s Woodside Crescent on Thursday night.
As part of anti-drugs campaign Operation Slate, Police Scotland teams also raided an address in Strathtay Road and found a quantity of cannabis. A 33-year-old man has been charged following the find.
Both men have been reported to the procurator fiscal.
Sergeant Dave Rice, community investigation team leader for Perth and Kinross said: “The public has told us that drug-related crime is a concern and we are focused on disrupting criminality and reducing harm in Perthshire.
“We will continue to act on information you provide, to carry out searches under warrant and take drugs out of our communities.”
He added: “Further search warrants were executed in Aberfeldy today (Friday) and although no-one was charged on this occasion, we are committed to disrupting and deterring criminality and this sends out a clear message that we will take positive action on information about drug activity.”
