The surprise hit for motoring enthusiasts who turned out in force at Errol airfield didn’t have four wheels.
Television presenter Fuzz Townshend, who is known to an international audience for fronting the National Geographic Channel’s Car SOS, mingled with the crowds on Saturday at the final Morris Leslie classic vehicle auction of the year.
A constant stream of well-wishers stopped Townshend, who first found fame as the drummer with Pop Will Eat Itself, and he was happy to chat and pose for pictures.
Car fans from around the country fought out with internet bidders to buy classic vehicles ranging from E-type Jags to a Ford Mustang convertible.
During the day a 1959 Allis Chalmers tractor was auctioned off for £1,700 in aid of Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA).
