A man has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries in Coupar Angus.
Emergency services including police, ambulance and the fire service descended on the Perthshire town just before 5pm on Tuesday.
It followed reports to police relating to concern for a person in the Princes Croft area.
Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance landed in nearby Larghan Victory Park and took the casualty to hospital in Glasgow.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 4.50pm on Tuesday April 19 to a report of a concern for person in the Princes Croft area of Coupar Angus.
“Emergency services attended and a man has been taken by air ambulance to Glasgow Royal Infirmary with serious injuries.”
Residents of Coupar Angus reported seeing four police cars, as well as a fire engine and ambulance.
One local resident said: “At the height of the activity there were around four police cars, a fire engine and an ambulance.
“The air ambulance was also circling overheard for quite some time. It took off just shortly after 7pm with a man on board.”
Another added: “While it was ongoing police were at the end of the road as well as in a a house.
“The road wasn’t closed off but because it’s so narrow you couldn’t get in or out.”
